Flies

The type of fly that you use depends on what you are fishing for and where you are fishing.

Dry Flies

These are floating flies that usually mimic flying insect life and should match the insect life in your area. These can also be used as a strike indicator with a dropper.

Wet Flies

Nymphs and other sub-surface insect life are represented here. Most of these can be used as a dropper - tied off the bend of the hook of a dry fly - or fished by themselves.

Streamers

These are much like a traditional lure. Different fish like different streamers, but most fish will take one type or another. Excellent to have on hand if you are going to fish a lake. For example, Bass have been known to hit the Wooly Bugger.
