Located in the Monterey Bay, this is an beautiful beach with lots of fly fishing potential. The shoreline was a bit steeper than it looked, and a sinking line is the only way to go here. If you go, watch your step because the shore has a wicked drop-off.
There is kelp within easy casting range and that was nice to see. Baitfish frequently hide in the kelp which draws predators to the fringes. Cast to the edges of the kelp with Clouser Minnows, Lefty's Deciever or an orange squid pattern. I also worked the shore with a Razzler designed by Dean Endress with good results.
Many of the anglers I saw this day had ventured out to the rocky point pictured below and reported that the Striped Bass bite was very good. I never made it out there, so I have to take their word for it.
