Probably the best backing to reel knot, and without a doubt the easiest to tie.
Step 1:
Pass backing around spool. Tie an overhand knot
(granny knot) in
the tag end.
Step 2:
Tie another overhand knot - this time tie it around
the backing.
Step 3: Cinch and trim it.
